PHCC of MA Member Benefits

National Membership – Founded in 1883 PHCC represents more than 4,000 union and open shop plumbing, heating and cooling contractors across the United States. PHCC of MA members are members of our National Association and have access to all programs, educational sessions, technical and support publications and discounts.

Local Chapter Meetings – Members are encouraged to attend local chapter meetings where information is shared and relationships are established that can prove invaluable to your business. As a member: "you don't have to reinvent the wheel" and "you don't have to be alone out there". Other contractors have been there before and are ready and willing to help you through to the next level.

Legislative/Regulatory Representation – In Massachusetts your association works to better our industry by maintaining an open and honest dialogue with key legislators, the Division of Licensure and the State Board of Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters. Members are kept up to date on code changes and other regulatory issues affecting our industry. On the national level, PHCC has a full time lobbyist working directly with members of Congress on issues critical to our industry. Top priority at this time is affordable health insurance. When important issues arise that affect your business, PHCC of MA is there.

Insurance Plans – Access to specialized insurance programs for PHCC members. A local broker, familiar with our industry, will work with you to present options that will enable you to maximize benefits for insurance dollars spent. At the national level we are working to support legislation that will authorize Association Health Plans. If passed by Congress PHCC would be able to offer a plan that would benefit from the buying power of all participating members across the country.

Scholarships – Each year hundreds of thousands of scholarship dollars are awarded to the families of PHCC members through our national association and auxiliary, state association and auxiliary and local chapters.

Education – Free or discounted registration for all PHCC of MA sponsored business education programs and technical education seminars. At the national level PHCC members have access to the best business education programs in the industry as well as access to enhanced programs designed exclusively for PHCC service and commercial contractors and their employees.

PHCC of MA Logo – Our members are professional contractors and may proudly display our logo. When customers see the PHCC of MA logo they can be assured they are seeing "The Best in the Industry".

Publications – Every licensed plumber in the state receives a copy of our award winning New England Progress Magazine. In addition, members receive state and national newsletters keeping them informed on industry related issues and activities. Members also receive an annual Membership Directory which includes important industry phone numbers along with member listings.

Annual Events

Annual Convention – Contractor members receive a complimentary first year registration to our Annual Convention. Bring the family and get to know some of the most successful professional contractors in the state. At the Annual President's Banquet over 200 contractors, industry associates and family members join together to witness the installation of new officers and recognize the hard work and accomplishments of some exceptional people in our industry.

Trade Show – The annual PHCC of MA Trade Show is by far the largest and best
p h c show on the East Coast. Association members and their employees are eligible for free admission to the Code Seminar featuring our State Board of Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters. Each year, more than 150 manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors are on hand to present and explain the latest innovations in our industry. Educational sessions are offered for contractors, technicians, inspectors and students.

Golf Tournament – A great day to mix business and pleasure. Golf with a few added surprises. Raises funds to support government relations and the National Guard Family Support Program.

Holiday Party – PHCC of MA members and industry leaders join together for a holiday reception.
