Mandatory Continuing Education (CE) Requirements for Plumbers and Gas Fitters
248 CMR 11.00: Education and Experience Standards and Requirements for Licensure of the Massachusetts State contains information that is very important to all of us. 248 CMR 11.04 describes the mandatory continuing education requirements for Commonwealth of Massachusetts licensed plumbers and gasfitters.

Correspondence Course
PHCC of MA Offers Correspondence Course
Can't find a class? Take the course at home! PHCC of MA offers a correspondence course approved by the Massachusetts Board of State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters. The program will expose you to all of the material we cover in our classes and enable you to complete the Massachusetts Plumbing and Gas Fitting continuing education program in the comfort of your home. No computer required.
Upon completing an open-book test and attaining a minimum test score of 70% you will earn continuing education credits. Licensees who fail the test are permitted to retest once for an additional $50 fee. Click here to order the program. Inquiries may be directed to nancys@phccma.org or call 781-535-5295.

Chapter Sponsored Evening Classes
PHCC of MA
Local Chapters Host Session 6 Night Classes
PHCC of MA Chapters will host State Plumbing Board Continuing Education Session 6 classes in the evening starting this fall. If you are a chapter member or an employee of a chapter member, these classes were scheduled especially for you! Non-members are welcome if space is available.
Attendees will have an opportunity to enjoy dinner with members, share ideas, and fulfill the State's continuing education requirement for year four. Each evening class provides 3 hours of instruction and runs during the hours of 5:00-9:00 p.m. to allow time for check-in, dinner and class instruction. If you are a licensed plumber, you will need to attend both evening classes to obtain the 6 hour credits. Gas Fitters need only attend class on the first night to earn the 3 credit hours.
Conducted by PHCC of MA instructors, the special evening series will include the mandatory gas fitting and plumbing material and provide required continuing education credits for Master and Journeyman Plumbers and Gas Fitters.
